This is our third painting challenge (not competition), where we started out with a Ramses II bust - painted half side each with open rules = no rules. Second was Stanley and Hardy, the contrast challenge, where we only used black and white the same as the movies.
I and @scaledreamsfrommybench started with one bust each of the same figurine and then paint in our own style or just go bananas. One of the ideas of the challenges is to try new methods, techniques, or colour choices so that we can develop our figurine painting in a more fun way and discuss the choices made.
Check out Mr @scaledreamsfrommybench IG for more pics of his figurine.
This bust is designed by @Etherealsculpts and painted with Green Stuff Worl acrylics.
"The oni mask is said to have originated from the oni, or demons of Japanese mythology. Oni are said to be fierce and powerful creatures that can cause destruction and chaos. The oni mask is meant to scare away these evil spirits and protect people from their harmful influence."
